PROGRAMS – MABA is excited to launch two new divisions for the 2007 – 2008 season.

BANTAM - Co-ed

A school or community centre program for 8 – 12 year olds.   Learn to Play and play teams in your area or school division.  MABA offers instruction clinics and will assist with contacts and schedules.

HIGH SCHOOL Co-ed

A chance for you to experience competition after the phys-ed session.

High school teams have an opportunity to participate in two tournaments annually.   MABA offers instruction clinics and will assist you in arranging interschool games or leagues.  If you would like to host a tournament give us a call.

CO- ED –  Aged 15+

Be active in a recreational or competitive division.  No body contact and more social in nature the co-ed division is for couples or families who want to be active to beat those winter blues. Provincial championship in 3 categories, A – experienced competitive teams, B – less experienced competitive teams, C – novice or mature teams who just want to have fun playing the game.

NON – CONTACT – Men’s / Women’s

Community based recreational program for those who want to have fun and be active without body contact, in a more social atmosphere. Have ice time?  Let us know and we will assist with contacts and schedules.  Provincial opportunity

 JUVENILE – Boys / Girls

No co-ed here!  For participants 13 – 19 who want to step up their game with body contact, develop their skills and participate at all levels.  Competition for grassroots to elite available including skills camps.  Provincial and national championship opportunities.

 MEN’S / WOMEN’S CONTACT

For those who are looking for intense competition with full body contact and championship options.  Men’s and Women’s provincial and national championship opportunities.  We will assist with league set-up and development

ABORIGINAL PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

MABA will be hosting the 1st annual aboriginal provincial championships in Sandy Bay – Feb 22 – 24, 2008.  Recreational co-ed teams will compete in two age categories – aged 13 – 19 and 15 thru adult.

A couple of changes –

Juveniles Boys / Girls with body Contact

(bantam & high school are the only co-ed opportunities and are not provincial championships)

Men’s / Women’s – 2 categories

Contact – High level of competition. Teams participating will have the opportunity to earn the right to represent Manitoba at National or Western Canadian Championships

Non-Contact – Recreational, no body contact.
